Here are some more pics we've taken recently. Some are from a Kid's Christmas party we had just before Christmas with Brianna's cousins & friend Leah. The kids had a blast making Christmas ornaments, decorating cookies, eating pizza, & playing together. I think we've started a new tradition for the little ones. I've also included some pics of my current violin students.

Christmas Pictures

At long last...

I've finally found a block of time to update our blog with pictures from Christmas. I know it's a bit late...but better late than never...right?! We had a fun-filled week of celebrating. Everyone came to us so we didn't have to do any traveling. We had just about 20 family members here on Christmas day. Lisa's parents were here for about 10 days & Machen's parents were in town for about 4 days. We had many family get-togethers with both sides of the family...lots of yummy food...fun new games...lots of great memories. We are pretty much recovered now from all the late nights & junk food, but it did take a little while! One of our New Years resolutions was to go through the entire house & get rid of anything we are not using...so that project has been keeping us quite busy! Needless to say we have a huge pile of things either going to Goodwill or a garage sale! It feels great to simplify our lives before the arrival of another baby. Lisa had her 24 week check up last week & everything still looks great. We are now down to 15 weeks & counting! Brianna has transitioned very nicely into a "toddler bed" this week. We wanted to have her fully adjusted before she has to give up her crib to her little brother. Hard to believe she is no longer the "baby" anymore. She's growing up so fast. Happy New Year to all of you!

It's a...............

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our ultrasound today confirmed our suspicions that we are having a little boy this time! We are thrilled to now have "one of each!" Machen of course is beaming & I have adjusted to the idea of moving out of my "girl world." I'm ready for a new adventure! And the best part of all...everything looks absolutely normal. We have NO high risk issues this time around!! We are so thankful that God has once again answered our prayers. The doctor said his heart looks "beautiful!" Below is a profile picture. It looks like he is "kissing" the placenta. What a little miracle from the Lord! :)

Hello everyone,

I've gotten a bit behind in updating our blog now that the holiday season has hit! You will find pics from our fall colors, fun at our church Harvest Hoe- down party, our Thanksgiving dinner, & our trip to the Children's Museum in Asheville, NC with Machen's side of the family. Lately we've been enjoying getting our home decorated for Christmas. I'll send more pics soon. We have our first (21 week) ultrasound on Dec. 17th. We can't wait to see if it's a boy or girl!
